FYI: Pat Klinger is a scam

Are you a web designer who just received an email from a Pat Klinger? Discard it, it’s a scam.

I guess the scam goes like this:

• An AI agent selects a business/website (based on how cool they must sound I assume)
• The AI agent builds a legit-yet-stupid website redesign marketing plan PDF
• The AI agent emails web designers, claiming to be a representative of Ska Studios (despite using an outlook.com email address), and links to the PDF
• The scam (according to Google) is either a simple overpayment scam or malware hidden in the PDF

I put the PDF link through VirusTotal and URLScan.io and both got nothing, so it sounds like an overpayment scam! Either way, I ain’t clicking it. I’m gonna link this post to any web designers who might have been contacted by nonperson Pat Klinger. Be safe out there!
